What are we looking for?

Kidspire is seeking a great Assistant Preschool Teacher who loves to spend their day with preschoolers exploring their world. We are seeking an individual who has relevant experience in Early Childhood and who would be excited to plan lessons that are designed to provoke student curiosity and encourage student-centered learning. We are seeking someone who is comfortable working with children in the 2 to 5 year old age range and who is equally comfortable in lead teaching activities, as well as working alongside another teacher in a supporting role. We are looking for an individual who is reliable, enthusiastic, and eager to join an established teaching team and would seek to fit in as seamlessly as is possible while helping to make us a better preschool. Please note: This is a full-time role, starting in June 2025.

  • 4 weeks of paid vacation (Spring Break, Thanksgiving, 2 weeks at the end of the year)

  • ICHRA Plan for Healthcare (Eligible after 90 days of employment)

  • 5 days paid sick leave

  • $20-$22/hour, full-time (Equal to $41,599 to $45,759 per year)

Position requirements & responsibilities

  • Early Childhood Degree or Certificate preferred

  • Fundamental understanding of early childhood

  • Reliable and timely transportation to/from Kidspire Preschool

  • Capable of co-lead teaching a group of 8+ students

  • Ability to document and record student learning and share their progress with parents

  • Flexibility to adjust to required change and adapt accordingly

  • Good communicator who can clearly articulate ideas to colleagues, as well as to parents

  • Willingness and reliability to help open and/or close the preschool

  • An ability to work cordially with colleagues and address any conflicts professionally and appropriately
